NAED is seeking a Member Engagement Manager to serve as a trusted partner to a defined portfolio of member companies-strengthening engagement, driving participation, and expanding the impact of NAED programs across the electrical distribution industry.

What You'll Do
Build Relationships & Drive Engagement
- Cultivate strong connections within assigned member accounts and engage employees at all levels of the organization
- Serve as the primary liaison and trusted point of contact for member companies
- Promote NAED programs, services, events, and tools that support member success
Strategic Account Management
- Develop annual business plans tailored to each assigned account
- Conduct ongoing market research and analysis to understand member needs and industry trends
- Gather and share member feedback to support NAED priorities and continuous improvement
Consultative Support & Member Value
- Proactively guide members toward relevant resources, best practices, and business opportunities
- Deliver presentations, reports, and updates for NAED leadership and member stakeholders
- Model a culture of exceptional member care and service excellence
Sales & Program Promotion
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet engagement and monthly sales targets
- Conduct outbound member outreach to promote conferences, education programs, and initiatives
- Accurately process contracts, orders, invoices, and maintain CRM/member database records
Industry Representation
- Represent NAED at conferences, events, and account-specific meetings
- Maintain a professional and positive presence with members, partners, and vendors

- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional business experience in a related field (i.e., association management, business development, strategic account management, inside sales or client/relationship management).
- Proven consultative sales skills with previous experience in an association environment a plus.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated team focused mindset (Has an absolutely positive, get-it-done attitude)
- Excellent time management & organizational skills with ability to contact, schedule and follow up; ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications and ability to learn membership database.
- Must be a self-starter who is able to translate strategic direction into their own tactical action plan with their designated members. Then successfully execute their plan to meet and exceed engagement growth objectives. Willingness, ability, and experience in selling value added solutions.
- Ability to analyze member data, identify opportunities and possible trends.
- Ability to quickly learn the electrical distribution industry and channel to interface with excellent member service mentality and delivery to members/prospective members; comfortable working with all levels of an organization and tailoring approach accordingly.
- Exceptional listener who cultivates relationships and is adaptable to varied styles. Must have integrity and credibility with leaders, members, and staff to build their trust.
- Effective one-on-one communication skills, excellent meeting facilitation, and ability to give solid group presentations.
- Aptitude for creativity and innovation with a passion for serving members and expanding the scope and influence of NAED.
- Prior experience in wholesale distribution, supply chain, tradeshow, and expos beneficial.
